Staples Zero Waste Committee

The SHS Zero Waste Committee is a subcommittee of the district Zero Waste Committee dedicated to reducing waste in the Westport Public Schools. We are currently working on a composting initiative that is bringing composting to all of the public schools in Westport. Being a student ambassador for the ZWC means attending weekly meetings to discuss current initiatives, attending occasional out of school events, producing educational content for the student body, and promoting positive changes in the school environment that will help the planet. Admission to the SHS ZWC is based on an application process.
