TEAM Staples

TEAM Staples is a welcoming place for every individual at Staples! TEAM meets on Tuesdays. Our endeavor is to reach the entire school in discussing racial issues and to demonstrate how to appropriately tackle them, from subtle to full-scale racism. This club is for students who want to see Staples become a better place for all individuals. We promote open discussion that explores race, culture and identity in regards to school, town, and national issues that are most important to students. It is a great place to learn more about the community and to engage with essential problems that are often not discussed in our school and town. The name of the club, TEAM, comes from the official committee of the Town of Westport and it stands for "Together Effectively Achieving Multiculturalism". New members are welcome to join throughout the year, so anyone interested can contact the advisor and/or student representatives for more information!
