Mindfulness Meetups Club
Participants of “Mindfulness Meetups” will engage in activities and practice behaviors associated with focusing one’s attention on the present moment. Mindfulness entails awareness of thoughts and feelings; something that can only be achieved in an area free of judgment and distraction. “Mindfulness Meetups” strives to encourage optimism and teach skills to minimize stress and anxiety. In order to minimize stress, it is essential to understand the causes of this emotion, which will be explained in a special club meeting. In addition to education based on the sciences of the brain and stress, “Mindfulness Meetups” will incorporate activities like guided meditation, discussions centered around controlling emotions, and mindful eating; this will create an overall happier and less stressed student body.
