Students and Buses

Good morning,

Well, all weeks are not created equal and this was certainly a week!  It spanned two months - students returned en masse to start the year for the first time since the year I started at Staples, a new tent, all of our fall sports up and running and record rainfall but most of all, it was a wonderful start to the school year.  Clearly there is a renewed sense of excitement to the year which was noticeable each day this week.   It was a wonderful feeling to complete our faculty and staff professional development on Monday of this week, which ran under the theme of "collective effervescence" and what we could do to make this, the best year ever at Staples.  On Tuesday, we got the '21-'22 school year off to a great start with the class of 2022 leading the charge that day!  Students have been enjoying the company of one another and their teachers as well as making use of the new tent in the courtyard.  We had picture days, an early dismissal and scrimmages are in full swing while Players has started its casting for the upcoming performance of Grease.   Phew.  Are you not entertained?!!!

Here are some proofs giving you proof of the great first day!

Two Quick Updates

Back To School Night (September 23rd)- Will be virtual as teachers will record their presentations.  This was the most effective and efficient way to conduct the evening given the physical constraints.  We are keeping September 23rd on the books for this BTSN event.

Late Bus: Will start this coming Wednesday @4:45 and then will run every week Monday through Thursday.

You've worked hard.  Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
Go Wreckers!
