A few notable achievements in World Languages for the 2022-23 school year: 216 graduating seniors received the Seal of Biliteracy, of those students 8 received the award in two languages; 131 juniors are eligible to receive the Seal of Biliteracy; 73 juniors were inducted into one of our six World Languages National Honor Societies.

Dr. Ogunkoya secured the gold medal in the M45-49 long jump at the 2026 USATF Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships, held February 19-22 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Competing against the nation's top masters athletes, his performance highlights a remarkable commitment to athletic excellence that mirrors his dedication to the Staples High School community.

Staples High School is proud to announce that students Demeil Betfarhad, Josie Caricato, and Lyla McEntee were selected to perform in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Eastern Region Honor Choirs. Selection for these ensembles is recognized as one of the highest honors for choral singers in the region, following a rigorous audition process that drew talent from across eleven states.
