Yesterday, Staples High School seniors participated in "Invest in Yourself," a comprehensive, day-long program designed to help students build practical skills as they prepare for life after high school. A team of students from Staples High School’s Financial Decision Making course earned second place at the Connecticut State Finals of the National Personal Finance Challenge, held March 31 at Synchrony in Stamford. The Staples team, consisting of seniors Justin Halky, Ford Epstein, Patricio Garcia, and Kai Schwartz, advanced to the state finals through earlier rounds of competition, demonstrating strong knowledge of personal finance concepts along with collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Westport Public Schools is proud to congratulate the Staples High School Orphenians on being selected as a Showcase Ensemble for this year’s Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA) All-State Conference, a distinction that places the group among the top school music ensembles in the state. The Orphenians will perform on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Hartford.
