2026-27 Test Dates and Registration

The ACT and SAT are given on specific Saturdays throughout the calendar year. Visit the ACT and College Board websites for test dates and registration. Be sure to use your full legal name when registering. The statewide SAT administration will be held in March 2027. Students do not need to register for this test.

Staples is not an ACT test site for standard Saturday administration or National Extended Time Testing or an SAT test site for standard Saturday administration or 50% Extended Time.

For students with disabilities requiring Special (school-based) Testing on the ACT or School-Based Testing on the SAT, Staples is a test site for only some test dates. Space is limited; priority will be given to students in the current senior class.

Standardized Testing with Accommodations

Students who receive testing accommodations at Staples through an IEP or 504 plan may request accommodations on College Board exams (PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and AP) and the ACT. It is the College Board and/or ACT that decides whether or not a student qualifies for accommodations on these tests, not Staples High School.

Some testing accommodations can be provided on the national test date; some testing accommodations can only be provided through school-based testing. Staples High School will administer school-based testing for the following dates in 2025-26:

Date availability is subject to change; look for communication from ACT, College Board, and Staples High School. Space is limited for school-based testing and not available for all test dates; priority will be given to students in the class of 2026.

• If you need to change your test, test center, or test date, contact College Board.
• Staples is not a test site for standard Saturday administration and 50% extended time.
• For students with disabilities requiring SAT School-Based Testing, Staples is a test site for October, November, and May, in addition to the March CT School Day SAT for all juniors. Space is limited for school-based testing and not available for all test dates; priority will be given to students in the class of 2026.
• For students taking the PSAT or SAT in school, here is the link to a page with instructions and device requirements. 
• Register at www.actstudent.org.
• Staples is not an ACT test site for standard Saturday administration or National Extended Time testing.
• For students with disabilities requiring Special (school-based) Testing, Staples is a test site for September, December, February, and April. Space is limited for school-based testing and not available for all test dates; priority will be given to students in the class of 2026.
